Are immunizations required?No, we do not require any specific immunization. However, we do require all children to have a complete vaccine record on file. The Garden Daycare uses IRIS - Idaho’s Immunization Reminder System to keep vaccine records up to date and accurate.

Do you serve meals?All meals and snacks will be provided and included in the fees when your child is attending our program. We work hard to provide home cooked, well balanced, and nutritious meals. We choose organic produce and meats when possible and limit processed foods. A meal schedule will be provided weekly. We serve breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack every single day. The Garden participates in Idahoʼs Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).

Is The Garden licensed?Yes, The Garden is licensed through Idaho STARS. We follow all of the health and safety regulations put out by state agencies. We also participate in the Steps to Quality Program and are sponsored by St. Vincent De Paul for the CACFP Food Program. At The Garden, we not only adhere to the regulations from our partnering agencies, but we strive to put in policies that promote the highest quality of care.

Is there a curriculum?At The Garden, we take great pride in creating age appropriate, stimulating activities for all the children in our program. Each day we will provide the opportunity for outdoor play, story time, cra time, and rest time. The children will also participate in music time, sand play, water play, and sensory play. The daycare program will have weekly themes which will inform the cra s we do and books we read. For our preschool program, we use a Creative Preschool curriculum that integrates a number of different resources. We will occasionally walk to the library or Scenic 6 playground.

What days are you closed?We are closed on New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after Christmas. In addition, The Garden Daycare will be closed for one week of scheduled vacation and parents will be given at least a month’s notice.
